Network Partners

One of the fundamental aims of WCRP is to bring together scientists with other key stakeholders such as policy makers, development agencies and private industry specialists in order to address specific problems or research questions. Whether you are a scientist, policy-maker, information end-user, or sponsor learn how you can be part of the WCRP network.

Scientists

WCRP brings together scientists from around the world to formulate new research agendas and to leverage scientific know-how between researchers, across disciplines and between developed and less developed countries.  The WCRP invites and encourages individual scientists to inform WCRP of their ongoing research and to suggest ways to integrate local, regional, and international initiatives.

Policy-makers

Policy-makers require the latest climate research information in order to make the best-informed decisions for their constituents. Whether you belong to a national government programme or an intergovernmental organization, WCRP can give you access to a leading network of international scientists and provide you with the most current research results available.

Information end-users

The aim of the WCRP Strategic Framework 2005-2015 is to facilitate analysis and prediction of Earth system variability and change for use in an increasing range of practical applications of direct relevance, benefit, and value to society. The WCRP welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with private organizations, non-governmental organizations, development agencies, foundations, and associations. WCRP is committed to adding value to their research endeavours and requires input from end users to make these commitments applicable to their needs and requirements.

Sponsors

By contributing to WCRP initiatives as a sponsor provides an excellent opportunity for individuals and organizations to demonstrate a strong commitment to climate and climate change research. WCRP welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with private industries, non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations, foundations, and associations.
